Photo Walks
Bild Photo Walks give you the chance to explore NYC alongside the photo industry's top ambassadors. Get ready to learn new techniques and helpful tips while capturing memorable photographs along the way! No pre-registration is required.
Guided by the industry's top ambassadors, Bild Photo Walks offer a unique opportunity to enhance your photography skills in a real-world setting while learning how to maximize the use of your camera.
But Bild Photo Walks aren't just about capturing captivating images; they are also about experiencing and interpreting the world around you through the lens.
Why Participate
- Learn From the Best: Gain insights from the industry's top ambassadors as they guide you through the process of capturing stunning photographs.
- Practical Experience: Practice your photography skills in real time. Go beyond the theories and learn the nuances of capturing perfect shots.
- Explore: Discover the scenic views of NYC and use your camera to tell the story.
How to Participate
- Come Prepared: Bring a camera with fully charged batteries and empty memory cards. Wear comfortable shoes. A wide or telephoto lens is recommended, but there's no need for super-telephotos or tripods.
- Check-in: Arrive up to 30 minutes early to secure your spot at the location to be noted on schedule. Availability is first come, first served. Each photo walk has a maximum capacity of 15-20 attendees, and check-in closes when capacity is reached.
- Follow the Schedule: The Photo Walk Schedule will provide you with all the details you need, including day, time, sponsor, meeting location, walk leader, and a brief description of each walk.
- Each photo walk will take about 1 hour to complete.

- If you’re looking for friendly, impartial feedback in a communal setting, stop by one of Bild Expo’s Focus Round Tables. Join group discussions dedicated to specific genres such as fashion, wildlife, street photography, portraiture, and more. These sessions offer a welcoming space to exchange ideas and learn from fellow photography enthusiasts.

How to Participate
- Visit Room 409 on the 4th floor of the Javits North Hall

- Bring 10–20 pieces of work in a print portfolio (no larger than 13” x 19”) or organized in a folder on a tablet or laptop. Websites and online images will not be considered for review.

Kodak Experience
11am – 4pm | North Hall 4th Floor, Room 408
We are excited to welcome back the Kodak Experience Room at Bild Expo, where you can learn more about how you can use 8mm and 16mm film to tell your story. Sessions will include General Film Workflow, Super 8 Movie Walk, and 16mm Film Loading Workshops, which will cover all the steps for shooting on 16mm film, from selecting and ordering film stock to loading ARRI 16mm cameras. We are also thrilled to have one of the most renowned contemporary cinematographers in the world, four-time Oscar nominee and ASC Winner for Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography, Ed Lachman, ASC, join us on the Filmmaking Stage at 5pm on June 17.

General Film Workflow Discussion
An introduction to the basic principles of shooting film and how to get started today. Covering both qualitative and quantitative aspects of film that help empower filmmakers at all levels of production. From S8 to 65mm, film is the gold standard in capture medium.

Super 8 Movie Walk
This program will begin with a concise KODAK Super 8 Camera presentation, including a review of its cutting-edge features, followed by a guided “film walk” around the Bild Expo with KODAK S8 cameras. Supervised by Kodak and B&H experts, allowing attendees to get hands-on experience with the S8 camera.
Kodak will process and scan film for review the next day.

16mm Film Loading Workshop
A hands-on motion picture film loading workshop addressing the basics of film capture. The workshop will cover the necessary steps to shoot on 16mm film and offer information about film processing and post-production. Instructed by seasoned professionals, attendees will receive hands-on learning with Arriflex 416 cameras, including 16mm magazine loading, and a variety of useful informational materials.
Participants are encouraged to attend the General Film Workflow Discussion on Tuesday.

Sportraits Experience

Step into a professional sports shoot and learn how to craft dynamic media-day portraits. With expert guidance from Westcott Top Pros, you'll be able to try out real studio setups complete with stadium-style lighting, props, and effects that will make your "sportraits" hit a home run!
Level up your Game Day Portraits at the B&H x Westcott Sportraits Experience at Bild Expo. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of models dressed in different sports uniforms who will pose for their "media day" portraits. Lighting will be key, and we will have the best coaches to help you nail the shot. Westcott Top Pro Dani Mack and JC Carey will show you how to incorporate multiple strobes to create stunning portraits that feel like they were taken right before kickoff. Tuesday June 17 | 7-9PM | Javits Center
B&H and Fujifilm invite you to experience the magic of New York City at night with an exclusive NYC Bus tour. Hop aboard private double-decker buses for a scenic ride through the heart of the city. Capture iconic views, take in the energy of NYC after dark, and enjoy a complimentary boxed meal to take on board.
Tour runs from 7pm-9pm, departing from the Javits Center and returning to the B&H SuperStore at 9th Avenue and 34th Street.
Please Note: The registration process will be posted on or before June 9th. All guests must register and pick up their wristband at the B&H Information Desk. This desk is located in the atrium right outside the Expo Floor entrance on the 3rd Floor of the Javits Center North Hall. Capacity is limited. You will need a wristband to board the bus and to receive your boxed dinner. Dinner and Boarding begin at 6:30 pm outside the North Hall of the Javits Center.

Join B&H, Canon and OM Systems for an unforgettable evening on the water. Set sail for a night of music, drinks and incredible views, a perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos of the NYC skyline as it lights up the night. Enjoy a live DJ, an open bar with well liquor, beer, wine, a range of non-alcoholic beverages and delicious passed hors d’oeuvres. Boarding will begin at 6:30PM at Pier 83 West 42nd at 12th Avenue (Circle Line) Sailings will be from 7-9PM. Pier 83 is a short walk from the Javits Center.
